LANGSTON, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's basketball team traveled to Langston University on Friday evening in a non-conference matchup. The Crusaders suffered a 94-48 loss against the Lions of the Sooner Athletic Conference.
Langston grabbed momentum with a 14-0 run early in the first half to control the temp of the game with a 19-5 lead. DCC cut the deficit to 17 after a Caleb Willis made three-pointer. The Lions took a 53-24 lead into halftime. The Crusaders shot 8-19 (42%) from the field in the first half, 5-12 (41%) from the three-point line, and 3-5 (60%) from the FT line in the first half.
In the second half, DCC shot 3-14 (21%) from the field, 0-5 from the three-point line, and 18-25 (72%) from the FT line in the second half.
Jalen Perez notched 9 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist on 2-2 shooting from the field, and 3-6 from the FT line. Taro Ford scored 9 points, Joseph Allen totaled 7 points, and Jairus Allen scored 6 points.
The Crusaders will be back on the road on Tuesday, November 1st against Texas A&M Texarkana at 7 p.m.
