DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College men's soccer team defeated Southwestern Adventist University 7-0 on senior day where
Brandon Flores was honored with a pregame ceremony and presented gifts from head coach
Logan Lowry.
In the 18th minute the Crusaders finally notched a goal with a strike by
Jancarlo Vazquez assisted by William Buchanon.
Kevin Viera followed that up with a goal of his own on an assist by
Jesus Quinonez. Right before the half Jaime Beerra Esparza beat the defender in a one-on-one and blasted a goal into the back of the net to extend the lead to 3-0.
In the second hald, DCC continued its offensive prowess with a beautiful pass by
Jeremy Callejias to
Jancarlo Vazquez for his second goal of the day.
Brandon Flores scored his first goal of the season on a penalty kick.
Hector Flores scored on an assist by
Devon Dupree and
Brandon Flores scored his second goal of the game to extend the lead to 7-0.
DCC took 27 shots, 14 of which were on goal, recorded 1 save, and attempted 2 corner kicks. The Crusaders end the season on a positive note and will look to use this as a building block heading into next season.
