DALLAS, TX-- The Dallas Christian College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the season on Sunday afternoon against Southwestern Adventist University after Yvonne Fuerte scored her first career goal in the final minute of the game.

DCC put the pressure on the SWAU defense early. In the 21st minute, the Lady Crusaders took a 1-0 lead after Abby Esparza blasted a goal into the back of the net. SWAU responded with a goal on a penalty kick to tie the game at 1. After both teams failed to score for most of the second half, DCC broke through with a a goal in the last minute by Yvonne Fuerte on a phenomenal pass by Michelle Jaloma. 

DCC had 16 shots, and Victoria Galvan recorded 7 saves. The Lady Crusaders will face Randall University on Tuesday afternoon at 12 p.m.
