DALLAS – The 2021 Dallas Christian College men's soccer team officially kicks off its regular season this week with a pair of home matches. Things start Tuesday, August 31 versus Central College at 12 p.m. The Crusaders remain at home to host Manhattan Christian on Friday, September 3.
DCC got onto the pitch last week, playing away at Mountain View College and McMurry University. Both were marked scrimmages for all teams.
Head Coach
Pablo Esquibel Jr. begins his first year at the helm for DCC. Last season, the Crusaders earned a spot at the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I Tournament in their first season at that level. That roster was constructed that fall and while achieved several accomplishments, Esquibel is having to do the same recreation with just two returners from 2020.
Emmanuel Abaka and
Samuel Olague are the duo back from that group, which won the Non Dual Affiliate Game (NDAG) Division I Regional Championship at home over Ecclesia College.
Filling out the remaining roster spots as newcomers are:
Luis Lopez,
Hector Flores,
Khary Gilford,
Julian Bravo,
Ivan Najar,
Johncarlos Moreno,
Diego Fierro,
Haider Mohammad,
Salomon Cabezas,
Jeremy Callejas,
Shane Anderson, and
Brandon Flores.
The match is expected to be available on the
Dallas Christian Network.
