DALLAS, Texas – The Dallas Christian College men's soccer team fell in a pair of matches last week. After coming back down twice in the match, including an early 2-0 deficit, the Crusaders were unable to come out in front, as Juanpablo Rodriguez netted the game-winner in overtime to lift Southwestern Adventist University to a 4-3 victory on Tuesday, September 28.
 
Salomon Cabezas and Luis Lopez produced two goals by DCC to knot the match at two. It was the second goal on the campaign by Lopez. Jeremy Callejas secured the other goal for the guests in this match. The Crusaders did hold a 14-12 edge in total shots and 8-7 edge in shots on goal. Brandon Flores made four saves in 90 minutes between the posts. Rene Castellon garnered seven saves against 10 shots faced.
 
In a home afternoon tilt, the Crusaders would be outdone 4-0 by Arlington Baptist University. DCC was outshot 19-3 in the first half and 31-9 overall. A pair of goals in each frame by the Patriots, led by Angel Medel with a hat trick on the opening trio of scoring results, would be too much.
 
Dallas Christian fell to 2-5 overall and are back home for the final home game of the 2021 season by hosting Cedar Valley College. It will be the second time these teams meet on the field this fall.
