KEENE, Texas – The Dallas Christian College volleyball team grabbed a 3-0 straight set sweep on Monday night this week at Southwestern Adventist University. The Crusaders picked up their 10
th win on the campaign and 8-3 against teams in the NCCAA Division II Southwest Region.
DCC held Southwestern Adventist to 13 kills overall on the night, while the visitors matched that amount in the opening set en route to a 25-12 win. The second set was the closest margin between the teams at 25-14. The finale matched a 25-7 gap which occurred to start the game back in Dallas between these programs on September 23. The Crusaders swung hard and often, tallying a .326 kill percentage in the match.
Elizabeth Morrow was the leader in the stats for DCC with nine kills.
Christen Downey was right behind with eight kills and
Maya Harrington chipped in five.
Kelly Graves led the team in assists with nine. Coming off a busy week that had three matches with opponents ranked higher than the number seven Crusaders, head coach
Tyese Little rested her players as she got 16 players into the match.
DCC is home for the final two matches of the regular season on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16. It is Homecoming this weekend at DCC.
