Dallas Christian College dropped its Friday evening match at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, 3-0. The set scores were 25-17, 25-15, and 25-12.
In the opening frame, the Crusaders battled back-and-forth to an early 5-4 lead and then yielded six points in a row. DCC had a run of its own as a bad Eagles set gave the road squad the ball and sparked a stretch of six-of-seven points tallied to make it an 11-11 tie. Two of the team's three kills came from Elizabeth Morrow in that run including the equalizer. A few points later, DCC cut it to 13-12 on a Summer Doty kill, but the Eagles exploded for seven points in a row to put the set out of reach.
The Eagles would control things the rest the way, as they improved to a 10-2 record on the campaign.
Dallas Christian fell to 7-6 overall.
Morrow and Doty led the team with six kills each. Caitlyn Yablon posted 14 digs and Kelley Graves provided 10 assists.
Oklahoma Wesleyan's top offensive performers were Laine Alves and Riley Roth with 13 and 11 kills, respectively. Nicole Bott posted 25 assists.
Dallas Christian wraps up the regular season on Saturday, October 31 versus Randall University. First serve is at 11 a.m. and it will be Senior Day.
